Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, condemned “the assassination of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah by the Zionist enemy, this enemy that commits massacres and genocides in Palestine and Lebanon,” and offered his deepest condolences to his family and the Lebanese.
The Mufti said in a statement: “Lebanon is going through difficult and delicate circumstances that require wisdom, awareness, and unity among all Lebanese to confront the dangers threatening them from the Zionist enemy.”
“Cooperation and solidarity between all Lebanese components is a religious, national, moral and humanitarian duty,” the Mufti affirmed, underlining the importance of warding off strife and “confronting it with all our political and religious powers to protect our country from those who are plotting evil against us.”
He concluded, “We say to those displaced from their villages and towns, be patient and persevere. We feel your suffering and pain. You are among our people, in our hearts, our conscience, and our soul.
The state that embraces everyone is required to provide more services to meet your needs and secure all available means until you return to your homes.”
