Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Engages with Mauritanian Defense Minister

Doha: HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani met with HE Mauritanian Minister of Defence, Pensioners' Affaires and Son of Martyrs Hanana Ould Sidi on the sidelines of the second day of the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX 2026).

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on issues of mutual interest and explored ways to enhance and develop these areas. In a significant development, HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs signed a cooperation agreement with the Mauritanian Minister. This agreement is aimed at strengthening areas of joint cooperation, serving the mutual interests, and enhancing defense partnerships between the State of Qatar and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

The meeting and the signing ceremony were attended by senior officers and officials, underscoring the importance of the bilateral relationship and the commitment to fostering stronger defense ties between the two nations.
