Doha: HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani engaged in a series of bilateral meetings with high-ranking international officials during the inaugural day of the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX) 2026.

According to Qatar News Agency, Sheikh Saoud met with several key figures, including HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Georgia Irakli Chikovani, HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Republic of Croatia Ivan Anusic, and HE Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the People's National Army of Algeria Gen. Said Chanegriha. Additionally, HE Minister for Defense Procurement and Industry of the United Kingdom Luke Pollard, HE President of Turkiye's Defence Industry Agency Dr. Haluk Gorgun, and HE Deputy Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Turkiye Musa Heybet were also part of the discussions.

The meetings centered on topics of mutual interest and explored avenues for strengthening and developing these areas of cooperation. These discussions were attended by several ranking officers and officials, underscoring the significance of the exchanges.
