Department of Meteorology Warns of Strong Wind, High Sea at Places

Doha: The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning about strong winds and high sea conditions in certain areas. According to the department's daily weather report, inshore weather is expected to feature some clouds, with an increase to scattered clouds later. The report highlights the potential for strong winds at specific locations initially.

According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions will see occasional cloud cover, with warnings of strong winds and high seas in certain areas. Inshore winds are forecasted to be northwesterly, ranging from 08 to 18 knots, potentially reaching up to 25 knots in some places initially.

Offshore winds will vary from westerly to northwesterly, maintaining speeds between 08 to 18 knots and gusting up to 23 knots in select areas. The sea state inshore is anticipated to be between 1 to 3 feet, rising to 4 feet in certain areas, while offshore conditions may range from 2 to 5 feet, increasing to 7 feet at places.

Visibility is expected to range from 04 to 09 kilometers inshore and from 05 to 10 kilometers offshore.
