Department of Meteorology Warns of Strong Wind and Poor Visibility at Places

Doha: Weather, inshore, until 6:00 am on Monday will be slightly dust to dusty at places and relatively cold the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of strong wind and poor visibility at places.

According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions will also be slightly dust to dusty at times, with warnings of strong wind and high sea, alongside expected poor horizontal visibility. The inshore wind is expected to be primarily northwesterly, reaching speeds of 10 to 20 knots and gusting up to 26 knots at times.

Offshore, the northwesterly winds are predicted to maintain speeds of 15 to 25 knots, with gusts of up to 35 knots. Inshore sea states are anticipated to range between 3 to 5 feet, while offshore conditions could see heights from 4 to 7 feet, occasionally rising to 10 feet.

Visibility inshore is expected to drop to between 03 and 9/2 kilometers, or less in some locations. Offshore visibility is predicted to be around 03 to 08 kilometers, potentially decreasing at times.
