Department of Meteorology Warns of Poor Horizontal Visibility, Strong Wind.

Doha: The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning regarding weather conditions inshore until 6:00 pm on Wednesday. The forecast predicts misty to foggy conditions initially, transitioning into a relatively hot day with intermittent clouds, and becoming mild by night. A significant concern highlighted in the report is the poor horizontal visibility expected at most places initially. According to Qatar News Agency, offshore weather conditions are expected to be hazy with occasional cloud cover, coupled with strong winds and high seas. Inshore winds will blow from the northwest at speeds of 05 - 15 KT, potentially gusting up to 24 KT in certain areas. Offshore, the northwesterly winds are expected to reach speeds of 10 - 20 KT, with gusts up to 26 KT. The sea state inshore is projected to be between 2 - 4 feet, occasionally reaching up to 5 feet, whereas offshore, the sea is anticipated to be 3 - 6 feet, rising to 8 feet at times. Visibility inshore is predicted to be 4 - 8 km, reducing to 2 km or less initially, while offshore visibility will range from 4 - 9 km.
