Department of Meteorology: Thundery Rain Expected Today

Doha: Inshore weather until 6:00 pm on Monday will be hot daytime with a chance of local rainy clouds maybe thundery at places, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of expected thunder rain at places daytime associated with strong wind. Offshore, the weather will see scattered clouds and be partly cloudy at times with a chance of scattered rain maybe thundery at times, the report added, warning of expected thunder rain associated with strong wind and high sea.

According to Qatar News Agency, wind inshore will be northeasterly to easterly at 5 - 15 KT, gusting to 30 KT with thunder rain. Offshore wind will be southeasterly to northeasterly at 5 - 15 KT, gusting to 25 KT with thunder rain.

Sea state inshore will range from 1 to 3 feet with thunder rain. Offshore, it will be 2 to 4 feet, rising to 8 feet with thunder rain. Visibility inshore and offshore is expected to range from 5 to 9 km, reducing to 3 km or less with thunder rain.

The high and low tide timings and temperature forecasts for various regions are as follows: Doha will experience high tide at 11:57 and low tide at 03:54, with temperatures ranging from 33 to 37 degrees. Mesaieed will have high tide at 13:47 and low tide at 04:00, with temperatures also ranging from 32 to 37 degrees. Wakrah, Al Khor, Ruwais, Dukhan, and Abu Samra have similar forecasts with varying tide times and temperatures.
