Doha: The Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) has signed a funding agreement with the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) to support the Nishan Ramadan Tournament 2025. This agreement underscores the pivotal role of DAAM and publicly listed companies on the Qatar Stock Exchange in fostering community development and promoting sporting activities, in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Nishan Ramadan Tournament 2025 will be held under the esteemed patronage of HE President of the QOC Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, and in collaboration with the Qatar Shooting and Archery Association. Scheduled to take place from the first to the nineteenth day of Ramadan at the Lusail International Shooting Complex, the tournament will witness the participation of a significant number of national team shooters.
The competition will feature multiple disciplines, including air rifle, air pistol, shotgun, and archery. The tournament aims to identify and develop young Qatari talent in the sport of shooting, honing their skills and providing them with valuable experience to strengthen the ranks of the national teams. Furthermore, it will serve as a crucial preparatory platform for Qatari athletes as they gear up for forthcoming international competitions.
Since its establishment in 2010, DAAM has launched numerous strategic initiatives and projects across the social, sporting, and cultural sectors. The contributions of publicly listed companies on the Qatar Stock Exchange remain a fundamental financial resource for the fund, reinforcing their role as key partners in driving sustainable community development in accordance with Qatar National Vision 2030.
