London: Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala has called for increased military support for Ukraine as the only way to prevent Russia from “expanding just a few hundred kilometers from our homes”. “If we want sustainable and long-term peace, we must arm ourselves properly. This will not be possible without increasing defense spending to at least 3% of GDP,” Fiala posted on X.
According to Qatar News Agency, Fiala’s statements come hours ahead of a crucial London summit with dozens of European officials to discuss support for Ukraine amid the US administration’s changing policy on Kyiv, in addition to discussing broader European defense issues.
