Cycling: Morocco Retains 26th Place in the World, 2nd in Africa

The Moroccan national cycling team has retained its 26th place in the world rankings and 2nd in Africa, behind Eritrea, which is made up of riders from various European teams, according to the latest rankings from the International Cycling Union (UCI).

Morocco has 1706 points, behind Eritrea (3535.24 pts), 19th in the world and first in Africa, while South Africa has dropped to 3rd in Africa and 28th in the world (1385.57 pts), followed by Algeria (30th in the world and 4th in Africa).

In the continental team rankings, Morocco’s “Sidi Ali-Unlock” came top with 194 points, followed by Rwanda’s “May Stars” (90 pts) and Angola’s “Bicycle Petro Luanda” (50 pts).

At the individual level of the Africa Tour, Moroccan rider Achraf Ed-Doghmi occupies 4th position with 532 points, while his compatriot Adil Arbaoui has moved up one place to 6th position (375 pts).
