Doha: The Ministry of Culture has announced the launch of the International Arabic Calligraphy Competition, 'Al-Akhlaq Award', scheduled to be held at the Rosewood Hotel in Doha from September 1 to 8. The event will conclude at the Ministry's new headquarters on September 9.

According to Qatar News Agency, the award will be accompanied by a cultural program designed to highlight the enduring beauty of Arabic calligraphy and explore its significant role in promoting human values. The program will feature a group of experts, artists, and calligraphers from Qatar and around the world.

The award is part of the Ministry of Culture's efforts to revive Arab and Islamic arts on the global stage.
