Doha: The Crescent Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced that tomorrow, Sunday, March 30, will be the first day of Eid Al Fitr.

According to Qatar News Agency, this announcement was made following the Committee's meeting at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs headquarters on Saturday evening. The meeting was convened on Ramadan 29, 1446 AH, corresponding to March 29, 2025, to sight the crescent of the Shawwal month and authenticate the testimony of those who observed it. The Committee confirmed the sighting of the crescent, thereby declaring Sunday, March 30, 2025, as the first day of Eid Al Fitr.

The statement from the Committee included greetings for the advent of the blessed Eid Al Fitr to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, and extended well wishes to the government, the people of Qatar, and all Muslims.
