Continuous incitement – Demand to demolish Sheikh Akram Sabri’s house in Jerusalem

Jerusalem – Ma’an – Settlers demanded, on Monday, the demolition of the house of Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, head of the Supreme Islamic Council and imam and preacher of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The settlers demanded, through their various platforms, from the Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, to demolish Sabri’s house in Al-Suwaneh. According to the demand, ‘The house is unlicensed. It is time to demolish it. Sabri continues to refuse the entry of Jews to the Temple Mount,’ as they put it and what they published. They also published a map of Sheikh Sabri’s house.

Sheikh Sabri has been subjected to a continuous campaign of incitement by settlers for a year, which explicitly called for targeting him personally and killing him, in addition to incitement to enter Al-Aqsa Mosque. Today, he is banned for 6 months, after he mourned the martyred leader Ismail Haniyeh during the Friday sermon. There were also threats to withdraw his identity, and voices were raised from right-wing groups to expel him from
the city of Jerusalem.
