China: China's machinery industry achieved a positive performance in the first half of 2025, recording growth in both production and sales. A statement by the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) highlighted that the value added by the Chinese machinery sector rose by 9 percent year-on-year during the first six months of 2025, a growth rate two percentage points higher than that of the overall manufacturing sector.
According to Qatar News Agency, production increased in 84 out of the 122 categories of CMIF-monitored mechanical products. Automobile production witnessed a year-on-year increase of 12.5 percent during the first half of 2025, followed by an 11.4 percent hike in sales over the same period, the statement read.
The statement further indicated that the output of power-generating units surged by 60.5 percent, while the production of industrial robots registered a notable increase of 35.6 percent.
