Doha: China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) launched the AlSat-3B satellite for Algeria from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China on Saturday. A Long March-2C rocket carrying the AlSat-3B satellite lifted off at 12:01 p.m. (Beijing Time) and successfully placed the satellite into its preset orbit.
According to Qatar News Agency, the new remote sensing satellite will primarily be used for applications such as land planning and disaster prevention and mitigation. This mission underscores the ongoing cooperation between China and Algeria in the field of space technology.
This launch marked the 629th flight of the Long March carrier rocket series, highlighting the continued reliability and capability of China's space launch infrastructure.
