Gaza City: Several Palestinians were martyred and others injured after Israeli occupation forces shelled a school sheltering displaced persons east of Gaza City on Wednesday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Civil Defense in Gaza reported that its crew recovered the bodies of 10 martyrs and rescued numerous injuries following an Israeli shelling that ignited a fire in the Yaffa School building. The school was sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Tuffah neighborhood, northeast of Gaza City.

Meanwhile, several people sustained injuries when Israeli aircraft bombed a residential home in Jabalia Al-Balad, located in the northern Gaza Strip.

Additionally, it was previously reported that a Palestinian was martyred in an Israeli drone strike on the town of Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

The death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 2023 has risen to 51,266 martyrs, with 116,991 others wounded.
