Umm salal: Umm Salal head coach Patrice Carteron has described his side's upcoming match against Al Gharafa as both important and challenging, ahead of their meeting on Tuesday in the 12th round of the Qatar Stars League. Speaking at a pre-match news conference, the French coach said the encounter would be difficult for both teams, with each pushing for victory and the three points.

According to Qatar News Agency, Carteron said Umm Salal are fully prepared for the match and expressed hope of building on their recent momentum following a win over Al Ahli in the previous round. He stressed that his team will be playing for victory as they look to improve their position in the league table.

Al Gharafa's Portuguese coach Pedro Martins also highlighted the difficulty of the fixture, particularly after his side's defeat to Al Shahania in the last round. Martins said securing all three points was essential to restore the team's confidence and maintain their strength and standing in the league. He added that he has strong confidence in his players' ability to respond positively and deliver a strong performance.

Al Gharafa currently lead the Qatar Stars League standings with 25 points, four clear of second-placed Al Shamal and five ahead of Al Sadd and Al Rayyan in third and fourth. Umm Salal sit 10th in the table with nine points.
