Morocco’s FUS Rabat came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against title holder USM Alger, on Saturday evening at the Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan sports complex in Rabat, in first leg of the 2nd preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The guests opened the scoring through Azzeddine Belaid (45th), before FUS striker James Ajako scored the equalizer in the 84th minute.
The return game is scheduled for next Sunday in Algeria.
The other representative of Morocco in this CAF Confederation CUP, Renaissance Berkane had drawn away 1-1 to Nigeria’ Bendel Insurance (2-2).
