Doha: The General Secretariat of the Cabinet announced on Sunday a decision to continue implementing the remote work system with no more than 70 percent of the total number of employees in each entity working remotely. This arrangement prioritizes mothers and persons with disabilities and is designed to ensure that work requirements are not affected. The remaining 30 percent of employees will be required to work from their workplaces starting Monday, March 9, 2026, until further notice. This decision applies across all ministries, other government entities, bodies, and public institutions.
According to Qatar News Agency, employees in the military, security, and health sectors are exempted from this decision, as well as employees in administrative bodies and units whose work mandates their presence at the workplace.
