Doha: HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, chaired the regular Cabinet meeting held today at noon. HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi announced the outcomes of the meeting, where the Cabinet discussed various agenda items and approved significant draft decisions.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Cabinet approved two draft decisions by the Minister of Environment and Climate Change aimed at prohibiting the import of certain substances that deplete the ozone layer and contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. These decisions align with the Ministry's strategy to support environmental sustainability, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Third National Development Strategy.
In addition to environmental measures, the Cabinet approved several international agreements. These included a draft agreement on the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments between Qatar and Hong Kong, a draft air services agreement with the Republic of Mali, and a draft memorandum of understanding on cooperation in auditing with Egypt.
The meeting concluded with the Cabinet reviewing three reports and making appropriate decisions. These reports included the annual report on the Anti-Concealment Committee's work for 2025, the outcomes of participation in the Seventh Session of the United Nations Environment Assembly in Nairobi in December 2025, and the outcomes of participation in the 117th ministerial-level session of the Economic and Social Council in Cairo in February 2026.
