Dortmund: German club Borussia Dortmund announced Tuesday the extension of Croatian manager Niko Kovac's contract through the 2026-2027 season.
According to Qatar News Agency, Kovac, who previously managed Bayern Munich, Eintracht Frankfurt, and AS Monaco, took charge of Dortmund on an 18-month deal when the team was in 11th place in January 2025. Under his leadership, the club climbed to fourth place, securing a Champions League berth.
His most notable achievements in German football include winning the DFB-Pokal with Frankfurt in 2018 and clinching the domestic double with Bayern the following season before his departure.
