According to Qatar News Agency, English star Harry Kane scored a hat-trick for Bayern with goals in the 44th, 48th (penalty kick), and 77th minutes. Serge Gnabry added the final goal in the ninth minute of stoppage time. The lone goal for Hoffenheim was scored by Czech player Vladimir Coufal in the 82nd minute.

With the victory, Bayern Munich remains in first place with 12 points, three points ahead of second-place Leipzig. Hoffenheim suffered its second loss of the season, putting it in eighth place with six points.
