BOUSHKIAN CHECKS ON THOSE INJURED IN ZAHLE TRAFFIC ACCIDENT, COMMISSIONED BY MIKATI

Caretaker Minister of Industry, George Boushkian, commissioned by Prime Minister Najib Mikati, checked today on the condition of those injured during the traffic accident that occurred in the city of Zahle yesterday. Minister Boushkian visited the Lebanese-French Hospital where he was received by its Board of Directors Chairman, Salim Assi. During his checking on one of the injured, accompanied by MP Bilal Al-Hushaimi, Boushkian was reassured that all the wounded had recovered and most of them were released from hospital. He stressed that “PM Mikati followed closely on all the details of this incident and gave his directives to the hospitals to receive them,” hailing “the role of the Bekaa Governor, Judge Kamal Abu Joudeh, who hastened to follow up on this incident on the ground and gave the necessary instructions.” Boushkian also praised the role of the security services, civil defense, the Red Cross and the Zahle Electricity Company. In turn, Deputy Al-Hushaimi thanked the Prime Minister for his “quick action”, wishing a speedy recovery for all the wounded and calling for “maintaining the lighting on the Dahr al-Baydar highway and the remaining roads in the Bekaa Valley, except for the city of Zahle, which is illuminated by Zahle Electricity Company round the clock.”
