Kuwait City: The Boursa Kuwait closed its trading session on Sunday with an increase in its general index by 50.39 points, or 0.63%, to close at 8001.49 points.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the session, 617.8 million shares were traded through 31,146 cash transactions, with a total value of 114.2 million Kuwaiti dinars (approximately $373 million). These figures indicate a robust trading activity across the board.
The Main Market Index experienced a gain of 123.99 points, equivalent to 1.81%, reaching a level of 6984.42 points. This was achieved with 390.7 million shares traded through 22,312 cash transactions, valued at 46.9 million dinars (around $153.2 million).
The Premier Market Index also saw an increase, rising by 34.56 points, or 0.40%, to reach 8650.62 points. Trading in this segment involved 227.1 million shares, executed in 8,834 cash transactions, totaling 67.2 million dinars (about $219.6 million).
Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index increased by 103.77 points, or 1.53%, to reach 6893.69 points. A total of 227.1 million shares were traded through 9,496 cash transactions, valued at 21.9 million dinars (approximately $71.5 million), reflecting active participation from market players.
