House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Thursday welcomed at the Second Presidency in Ain El-Tineh, Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, in the presence of Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, and an accompanying delegation. Discussions reportedly touched on the current general situation in Lebanon and the region, as well as the bilateral relations between the two countries. Speaker Berri also met with Caretaker Minister of National Defense, Maurice Sleem, with whom he discussed the latest political and security developments. Among Speaker Berri’s itinerant visitors for today had been the President-elect of Nigeria’s Jigawa State, Umar Namadi.
