Frankfurt: Defending champions Bayer Leverkusen secured a valuable victory against their hosts, Eintracht Frankfurt, on Saturday in the 24th round of the Bundesliga. Bayer Leverkusen defeated Eintracht Frankfurt with a score of 4-1. Nigerian Nathan Tella opened the scoring for Leverkusen in the 26th minute, followed by a second goal from Frenchman Nordi Mukiele in the 29th minute. Czech player Patrik Schick extended the lead with a third goal in the 33rd minute.
According to Qatar News Agency, Spanish player Alex Garcia completed Leverkusen’s four-goal tally in the 62nd minute, while Frenchman Hugo Ekitike scored the sole goal for Eintracht Frankfurt in the 37th minute. With this victory, Leverkusen raised their points total to 53, placing them second in the standings, eight points behind leaders Bayern Munich. Meanwhile, Eintracht Frankfurt remains at 42 points, holding the third position, just one point ahead of fourth-placed Mainz.
