Ramallah – Together – The Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Amjad Barham, today, Tuesday, Minister of Education of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Reda Hegazy; To discuss issues of concern to education between the two countries, especially arrangements for holding the high school exam for Gaza students in Egypt.
This came in the presence of the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Egypt, Diab Al-Louh, the Assistant Undersecretary for Student Affairs in the Palestinian Ministry of Education, Sadiq Al-Khadour, the Undersecretary of the Egyptian Ministry of Education, Alaa Atawiya, and a number of officials.
The Minister stressed that this meeting falls within the framework of the government delegation’s visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt to follow up on several issues that would address the repercussions of the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip, including issues in the public and higher education and scientific research sectors, praising the strong relationship between Palestine and Egypt
and the interest in and support of education. Especially in light of the many challenges that accompanied the scene, placing it in the form of the challenges facing the educational process in Jerusalem, and the damage caused to the education sector in Gaza.
Barham pointed out that the meeting touched on arrangements for holding the secondary exam for students in Egypt, whose number has exceeded 1,024 students so far, and discussed the possibility of opening educational centers in Egypt to teach students who are there, and stressed the importance of the step of adopting the ‘Tawjihi’ certificate equivalency for all branches and not He is limited to the scientific and literary branches, calling on his Egyptian counterpart to temporarily enroll Gaza students in Egyptian schools.
