Bahrain Says Air Defenses Intercepted 95 Missiles and 164 Drones During Iranian Attacks

Manama: Bahraini authorities said the country's air defense systems have intercepted and destroyed dozens of missiles and drones since the start of Iranian attacks targeting the kingdom. In a statement issued on Sunday, the Bahrain Defense Force said its air defense units had shot down 95 missiles and 164 drones aimed at the country since the beginning of the assaults.

According to Qatar News Agency, the military stated that the projectiles were intercepted before reaching their intended targets. Officials accused Iran of using ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles to target civilian sites and private property, describing the attacks as a serious violation of international humanitarian law and the principles of the United Nations.

The statement added that what it called "indiscriminate attacks" posed a direct threat to regional peace and security. The announcement comes amid heightened tensions across the region, with several countries on alert following recent security developments.
