Bahrain, EU Discuss Ongoing Regional Developments

Bahrain: Bahrain's Foreign Minister, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, discussed current regional developments in a phone call today with the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas. During the call, the two sides addressed the continued Iranian attacks on the kingdom and Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, they also reviewed the implications of Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz on international maritime navigation, energy security, and the global economy, stressing the importance of continued consultation and coordination to enhance regional and international security and stability.

The two officials further discussed cooperation and partnership relations between Bahrain and the European Union, as well as ways to strengthen and develop them across various fields to serve mutual interests. They also exchanged views on issues of common concern.
