Aspetar: Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital, on Thursday announced receiving its second consecutive Diamond-level accreditation from Accreditation Canada's Qmentum International program, with a perfect score, to be the first healthcare institution globally to reach this milestone.
According to Qatar News Agency, Acting Director General of Aspetar, Khalid Al Mawlawi expressed his immense pride in the team's achievement, stating: "Achieving the Diamond Level Accreditation with a perfect score for the second consecutive time, as the first medical institution globally to do so is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team," he stated.
"It validates our ongoing commitment to providing world-class care to athletes and patients and reinforces our position as a leading institution in sports medicine globally. We are immensely proud of this achievement and remain committed to pushing the boundaries of healthcare excellence," Al Mawlawi added.
Aspetar's Diamond-level accreditation from Accreditation Canada is particularly noteworthy, as it marks the first time a healthcare organization globally has achieved 100 percent compliance with all applicable criteria in two successive accreditation cycles. This remarkable accomplishment, celebrated today, underscores Aspetar's dedication to excellence and its position as a leader in sports medicine.
