ARADO to Hold Digital Sovereignty Forum Next Week in Istanbul

Istanbul: The Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO), a specialized organization under the League of Arab States, is scheduled to convene a forum on digital sovereignty on July 21-22 in Istanbul, Turkiye.

According to Qatar News Agency, the forum is designed to facilitate the sharing of insights and experiences on enhancing digital sovereignty. Discussions will focus on advanced strategies and frameworks, as well as practical solutions to assist governments and institutions in developing independent and secure digital infrastructures.

The event aims to promote regional and international cooperation to help countries improve their capacity to safeguard data and national interests in an increasingly digital world.

Key topics to be addressed at the forum include the concept and significance of digital sovereignty, securing digital infrastructure, the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing infrastructure resilience, data protection and digital privacy, and the cybersecurity challenges facing nations.

Furthermore, the forum will examine methods to support local innovation and strengthen national technology sectors, aligning with the broader objective of achieving digital sovereignty. The significance of regional collaboration in tackling shared challenges will also be highlighted.

A distinguished group of advisors, senior government officials, and decision-makers responsible for IT and digital transformation will attend the event. Participants will also include public service professionals, department heads from both government and private institutions, digital transformation experts, and representatives from private sector entities offering technological solutions from Arab countries and Turkiye.
