The Arab League confirmed Thursday that it is monitoring with great concern the Israeli entity’s ongoing attempts to expand the circle of conflict to neighboring countries under pretexts and arguments whose internal dimensions and personal political calculations that drive them have become exposed to everyone.

The League noted, in a statement, that it is no secret what this entails in terms of real risks of the outbreak of a regional war that would have dire consequences for the region and the world as a whole, and its impact would be severe on peoples seeking development and progress, as it would set the region back years.

h its burdens and endured harsh conditions that far exceeded the capacity of humans to endure.

He pointed out that all of this happened in light of the international inability to stop the aggressor and even grant it, in some cases, a safe haven to continue practicing atrocities without punishment or accountability, stressing that the Arab region bears the burden of escalating conflicts and unstable conditions that affect the image of the region and its attractiveness as a destination for investment.

In this context, the Secretary-General referred to countries whose development path has been disrupted, such as Sudan, Yemen and Libya, due to internal conflict, adding that enhancing sustainable economic growth in the region requires a qualitative shift in dealing with hotbeds of crises and instability as an urgent priority.
