Arab League Urges Immediate Cease of Iranian Aggressions Against Arab Nations

Baghdad: The Arab League called on Sunday for an immediate halt to Iranian attacks against Arab states, in line with UN Security Council Resolution 2817, and urged an end to threats disrupting navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Qatar News Agency, the League stated that the Iranian attacks, including threats to freedom of navigation, pose a threat to international peace and security. This situation necessitates a firmer response that echoes the international consensus rejecting what it described as Tehran's coercive practices.

The statements were delivered by Ahmed Aboul Gheit during a ministerial-level meeting of the Arab League Council in its 165th regular session, which was conducted on Sunday via videoconference. During this meeting, the focus was on addressing the safety and sovereignty issues faced by Arab states subjected to Iranian attacks.
