Arab League Hosts Cultural Discussion Forum on Intercultural Dialogue

Doha: The Arab League's General Secretariat hosted a cultural discussion forum titled "Dialogue of Civilizations After Two Decades: The Future of Intercultural Dialogue for Peaceful Coexistence." The event examined how the concept of civilizational dialogue has evolved over the past 20 years, highlighting both its achievements and challenges amid shifts in political, economic, and technological contexts.

According to Qatar News Agency, discussions focused on the role of international and regional organizations in promoting dialogue among peoples and cultures, exploring new mechanisms to strengthen intercultural engagement, and outlining a forward-looking vision aligned with today's global realities.

The statement added that the discussion forum reflects the Arab League's commitment to fostering dialogue among civilizations as a cornerstone for mutual understanding, peaceful coexistence, and addressing shared challenges such as stereotypes, discrimination, racism, and hate speech.
