Arab League Acknowledges Vietnam’s Commitment to Palestinian Advocacy

Doha: The Arab League: The Arab League praised Vietnam's supportive positions regarding the Palestinian cause, the principle of the two-state solution, the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, as well as Palestine's quest for full membership in the United Nations. This acknowledgment came during a significant meeting between Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit and Vietnamese President Luong Cuong.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, Aboul Gheit emphasized the importance of strengthening relations between the Arab League and its member states with Vietnam, within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two sides in 2023. He expressed hope for activating cooperation in the fields of trade, industry, technology, innovation, and culture.

Furthermore, Vietnamese President Luong Cuong affirmed his country's genuine desire to advance Arab-Vietnamese relations, aiming to contribute to prosperity and development for both sides. President Cuong also shared his country's aspiration to develop bilateral cooperative relations, presenting Vietnam's perspective on regional and international developments and its future vision for Arab-Vietnamese relations during his meeting with Arab League member state permanent representatives.
