A number of countries and regional and international organizations have welcomed the decision of Spain, Norway, and Ireland to recognize the State of Palestine as of May 28, calling on other countries to recognize the Palestinian State in order to provide justice to the Palestinian people and obtain their rights.
For its part, the Arab League welcomed the announcement of the three countries to officially recognize the State of Palestine.
The Arab League said, in a statement, that this step reflects a real conviction in the two-state solution and a sincere desire among these countries to defend it and save it from those who want to sabotage and eliminate it. It also reflects the sound political, moral and legal position, and represents an important milestone on the path to embodying the Palestinian State on the June 4, 1967, borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The statement called on the various countries in the world that did not take this step to review their positions and stand on the right side
of history, stressing that recognition of Palestine reflects a true belief in the two-state solution, charts a path different from the approach of violence, and contributes to establishing peace and security in the entire region.
Meanwhile, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) said that the decision to recognize the State of Palestine is an important historical step that is consistent with international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.
The OIC said in a statement welcoming the decision of the three countries that recognition will contribute to affirming the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and strengthening the status of the State of Palestine on the international scene.
The organization also renewed its call on all countries of the world that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine, to take the initiative to announce this recognition and to support the State of Palestines application for full membership in the United Nations.

med the decision, which it described as “important and positive” to recognize the State of Palestine.
The MWL General Secretariat said in a statement that the decision clearly expresses an important model of the shift in international awareness regarding the inherent right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the establishment of their state, praising in this context the responsible and noble position of the countries that took this important and just step, calling on the rest of the countries to follow suit. In support of the human and legal rights of the Palestinian people.
For its part, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also expressed its welcome for what it described as the “positive decision” taken by the three countries to recognize the State of Palestine.
In a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kingdom appreciated this decision, which confirms the international consensus on the inherent right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, calling on the rest of the countrie
s to quickly take the same decision, which would contribute to finding a reliable and irreversible path to achieve a just and lasting peace that fulfills the rights of the Palestinian people. Palestinian people.
For its part, the Sultanate of Oman welcomed the decision in a statement by the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and expressed the hope that the rest of the countries that have not yet recognized the Palestinian State will follow the example of the three countries, in support of the right of the Palestinian people to achieve independence and freedom in accordance with international law.
Jordan, through its Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, also welcomed the recognition of the State of Palestine by Spain, Norway, and Ireland, and said: “We value such decisions that are on the path to peace,” and noted that “other countries will recognize the Palestinian State.” Turkiye also expressed its “great” welcome to the three countries’ announcement of recognition of the State of Palestine.

by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that recognition of Palestine is “a requirement of international law, justice, and conscience,” adding that “this is a very important step in terms of restoring the usurped rights of the Palestinian people, and helping Palestine obtain the status it deserves in the international community.” The Turkish Foreign Ministry also stressed, in its statement, that Ankara “will continue to strive for more countries to recognize Palestine.” Meanwhile, The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) also welcomed the decision to recognize the Palestinian state from the three countries, as GCC Secretary General Jassim Mohamed Al Bedaiwi confirmed in a statement that this recognition is a pivotal and strategic step towards achieving the two-state solution, and a strong motivation for all countries to take similar steps for recognition of the State of Palestine, which will contribute to the Palestinian people obtaining all their rights and living in peace, justice and i
