Arab Cup FIFA Qatar 2025: Jordan Target Quarterfinals as Kuwait Aim to Extend Strong Run

Doha: Jordan coach Jamal Sellami stressed the importance of Friday's clash against Kuwait at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium, saying his team must secure a result that keeps their quarterfinal hopes alive. He noted the tight match schedule requires rotation, confirming the absence of Shadi Abu Hsheish through injury and the ongoing recovery of Ibrahim Saadeh.

According to Qatar News Agency, player Mohammad Abu Zreik said Jordan expect a tough match against a well-performing Kuwaiti side, adding that preparations have been intense. Kuwait coach Helio Sousa expressed his desire to build on the draw against Egypt, describing the Jordan match as a major test against a World Cup-bound team.

Kuwait's Rashid Al Dosari highlighted the positive atmosphere in camp and the players' confidence, boosted by strong fan support.
