Amiri Guard Hosts National Sports Day Events at Barzan Camp

Doha: The Amiri Guard organized a series of sporting events on Tuesday at Barzan Camp to celebrate the nation's National Sports Day 2026. The festivities saw the participation of HE Amiri Guard Commander Major General Staff Mohammed bin Sultan Al Suwaidi, along with the Deputy Commander and Assistant Commanders of the Amiri Guard. Numerous high-ranking officers, non-commissioned officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian staffers also took part in the events.

According to Qatar News Agency, the events included a variety of activities such as football matches, horse riding, walking, volleyball, and table tennis. Padel and basketball were also featured, along with numerous contests and recreational activities. These events were designed to encourage participation and interaction, fostering a spirit of positive competition among the participants.

The Amiri Guard has consistently marked National Sports Day by organizing various sports programs and activities. These efforts involve a wide array of military, security, and civil enterprises, reflecting the Guard's commitment to promoting sports as a fundamental pillar of physical and mental health. The activities are also aimed at enhancing quality of life through active engagement in sports.
