Aman Center Unveils 2026-2030 Strategy for Social Protection

Doha: The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (Aman), affiliated with the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, has officially launched its 2026-2030 strategy. This new strategic plan is set to enhance social security, protect and empower women and children, and support family stability.

According to Qatar News Agency, the launch ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Social Development and Family and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, HE Attorney-General Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi, and a host of senior officials, partners, and stakeholders. During the event, Acting Executive Director of Aman Center, Fadl bin Mohammed Al Kaabi, emphasized that the strategy represents a key step in strengthening Qatar's social protection system. The comprehensive roadmap outlined in the strategy is driven by outcomes aimed at preventing violence against women and children and reinforcing family stability through various programs and partnerships.

Al Kaabi explained that the strategy focuses on offering integrated protection, rehabilitation, and empowerment services to women and children affected by violence and family breakdown. The overarching goal is to foster independence and promote social integration while developing sustainable institutional capacities to enhance transparency and professionalism.

The strategy was developed entirely by Aman Center's internal teams, reflecting confidence in national expertise and understanding of societal needs. Al Kaabi underscored the importance of promoting the center's vision, which seeks to create a safe family environment where women and children can enjoy stability and a dignified life. The strategy is rooted in values such as social empowerment, professionalism, innovation, community partnership, and sustainability.

Key components of the strategy include strengthening domestic violence prevention through awareness programs, fostering family cohesion and dialogue, and building a safe community environment. It also involves adopting scientific methodologies, creating operational guidelines for early intervention, and delivering rehabilitation programs to enhance trust and independence.

Additionally, the strategy aims to develop tools to measure the impact of rehabilitation on psychological and social well-being, while reinforcing institutional frameworks and financial sustainability to ensure the center's services remain effective and of high quality.
