Doha: Al Sadd Club announced Wednesday the renewal of the contract of its defender, Pedro Miguel, until 2030.

According to Qatar News Agency, the 18-time winner of the Qatar Stars League (QSL) title revealed in a statement that its defender Miguel had officially signed a contract renewal that will keep him with the team until 2030. Pedro, who joined Al Sadd in January 2016, has achieved 12 titles with the club, and has been part of Qatar’s national team, winning AFC Asian Cup titles in 2019 and 2023. He expressed his satisfaction with the contract renewal, describing playing for Al Sadd as a significant responsibility.

Pedro acknowledged he is in his tenth season with Al Sadd and emphasized his understanding of the club’s fans’ expectations. Al Sadd retained the QSL championship in the 2024-25 season, finishing with 52 points, just two points ahead of Al Duhail. The club also progressed to the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League Elite before being narrowly defeated by Japan’s Kawasaki Frontale with a score of 2-3.
