Al Rayyan’s Tamim Mansour Out for Four Months Due to Hamstring Injury


Doha: Al Rayyan SC has announced that their player, Tamim Mansour Muftah, will be absent from the team for four months due to an injury in the right thigh’s hamstring.



According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement on Sunday, the club said that the player will undergo surgery after it was confirmed that he has a complete tear in the hamstring. The player was injured during his team’s match against Al Arabi, held at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium on Thursday as part of the 17th round of the Ooredoo Stars League.



As a result, the player will be unavailable for the team’s upcoming matches, including the match against Al Ahli Saudi FC scheduled for Tuesday, in the first leg of the AFC Champions League Round of 16. Al Rayyan currently holds the fifth position in the overall standings of the Ooredoo Stars League with 24 points, after their recent 2-1 victory over Al Arabi.
