Al rayyan: Al Rayyan beat Al Wakrah (27 - 21) in the first round of the Qatar Men's Handball League for the 2025/2026 season. In another match, Al Ahli beat Al Khor (31 - 22).

According to Qatar News Agency, three matches were held on Sunday, which saw Al Arabi defeating Qatar (37 - 21), Al Gharafa defeating Al Sadd (28 - 25), and Al Duhail defeating Al Shammal (29 - 26).

Al Arabi claimed last season's title, while Al Duhail came second, and Al Rayyan third. Al Rayyan holds the record number of total wins in league history with 15 wins. Al Sadd won 9 times, Al Duhail 5 times, Al Ahli and Al Jaish 4 times, Al Arabi 3 times, Qatar twice, and Al Gharafa and Al Wakrah one time each.
