Doha: Al Raya newspaper highlighted today the State of Qatar's continuous support for the Palestinian people in establishing their independent state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. It noted that this support has contributed to mitigating the worsening humanitarian situation and the dire living conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories. According to Qatar News Agency, the newspaper emphasized that the Palestinian cause has been awaiting a just and comprehensive solution for 77 years since the UN resolution to partition Palestine on Nov. 29, 1947. To this day, the conscience of the world has yet to awaken to establish the Palestinian state. The newspaper said that, on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, the State of Qatar affirmed yesterday that achieving just and sustainable peace in the region depends on ending the suffering of the Palestinian people, the crimes against them, and ensuring all their rights. The paper stressed that the State of Qatar considers the Palestinian cause its foremost issue, always carrying its concerns and making it the core of its foreign policy. Al Raya pointed out that Qatar has never confined itself to issuing statements but has also taken active diplomatic steps on the ground to support its Palestinian brothers, strengthening their resilience politically, humanitarianly, and financially. The paper concluded its editorial by reaffirming that Qatar rejects, condemns, and denounces all Israeli occupation crimes and works to expose them on international platforms. Over the years, Qatar has continued to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people across various sectors.
