The world woke up from slumber on Saturday to the sounds of unprecedented rocket barrages fired by the Palestinian resistance from the Gaza Strip towards the Israeli occupation’s towns and settlements sparking the Al Aqsa Flood that aims to put an end to the Israeli violations.
In recorded remarks, the Supreme Military General Commander of Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, Mohammed Deif, announced the initiation of the Al Aqsa Flood in retaliation for the crimes perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinians and their recurrent raids on Al Aqsa Mosque.
In his recorded remarks, Deif announced the start of the flood, stressing that the first strike that targeted the enemy’s sites and its fortifications exceeded 5,000 rockets and shells, adding that the time has come for all Arab and Islamic forces to stand united to dislodge the occupation from the Palestinian sacred places and territories.
The Palestinian resistance posted images and footage of its fighters while they were crossing the separation barrier to camps and settlements in the Gaza Strip where they wandered around, with another footage showing them wandering around towns via Four-wheel defense jeeps and motorcycles, and clashing with the Israeli occupation forces.
Another recorded footage showed operations of transferring live prisoners and dead bodies from camps and settlements to Gaza. In the meantime, the Israeli occupation army admitted that dozens were killed and hundreds were injured due to consecutive and intensive rocket barrages fired by the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip since Saturday early morning towards Israeli settlements and military sites, concurrently with the implementation of amphibious operations, as well as armed clashes with the occupation’s naval forces.
A spokesman of the Israeli occupation army stated that the Iron Dome system was activated with the launch of sirens as a result of the bombing that targeted large swaths of towns south of Tel Aviv to the north of the Gaza border, while Israeli media sources reported that sirens have been continuing in more than 160 areas with the persistent launch of rockets from Gaza towards Israeli settlements and areas.
Meanwhile, Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation quoted the confirmations of the Israeli police that the Palestinian resistance existed in 21 points in the Strip, with Yedioth Ahronoth Newspaper reporting that 35 Israeli prisoners have hitherto been captured from inside Gaza.
Consequently, air traffic at Ben Gurion Airport in the Palestinian-occupied territories stopped following the launch of dozens of rockets by the Palestinian resistance from Gaza towards the Israeli settlements and military sites.
In retaliation, the Israeli occupation army intensified the constant bombing of the Gaza Strip since Saturday morning, which has hitherto resulted in the martyrdom of 5 Palestinians prompting the Palestinian President to hold an emergency meeting with a host of civilian, security, and military officials in which he confirmed the Palestinian people’s right to defend themselves in facing the terrorism posed by the settlers and Israeli occupation forces.
The Palestinian President stressed, during the meeting, the importance of providing the protection for Palestinian people and directed them to provide everything essential to enhance their resilience and steadfastness in the face of the crimes perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces and the settlers’ gangs.
To intentionally harass the defenseless Palestinian people, the occupation forces closed the entrances to most of the cities and governorates of the West Bank and prevented entry and exit from them, especially Jericho, Tulkarm, and Qalqilya.
The Israeli occupation authorities also entirely closed the Karama crossing, in both directions, until further notice. The Israeli occupation prison administration also closed all sections of the prisons and began collective punishments against detainees on Saturday.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health has declared a state of emergency in all Palestinian hospitals to cope with the repercussions of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza on Saturday morning.
Palestine’s Minister of Health, Mai Al Kaila, issued a statement on Saturday instructing the ministry’s warehouses and blood banks to supply hospitals with the necessary medical supplies, medications, and blood units.
