Kuwait city: The Arab Handball Federation (AHF) announced that Qatar's Al Ahli will participate in the 40th Arab Handball Championship of Champions to be held in Kuwait from September 12 to 22.

According to Qatar News Agency, alongside Al Ahli, the confirmed participating teams include Kuwait, Kazma, and Sulaibikhat from Kuwait, as well as Al Shabab from Syria.

Kuwait emerged victorious in the last edition after defeating Salmiya with a score of 32/23, while Qatar's Al Gharafa secured third place by overcoming Kuwait's Qadsia with a score of 33/26.

Historically, Qatar's Al Rayyan won the 22nd Arab Handball Championship of Champions held in Sharjah in 2000. More recently, in 2019, Al Gharafa clinched the title of the 35th edition of the championship held in Amman.
