Doha: HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani and HE President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani inaugurated the Air Sports Museum on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the 47th World Military Parachuting Championship (CISM 2025).
According to Qatar News Agency, the inauguration of the Air Sports Museum is another accomplishment in Qatar's history of hosting major international sporting events and championships. This latest addition underscores the country's commitment to promoting air sports and its history.
HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani also received a Guinness World Records certificate at the event. This recognition was for Qatar's achievement in organizing the largest military parachute air display, involving numerous international teams and adhering to recognized global standards.
Emma Brain, a representative from Guinness World Records, presented the certificate to His Excellency. She commended the State of Qatar for this achievement, noting that the event showcased a high level of professionalism and exceptional organizational skills.
