Doha: Qatari giants Al Sadd and Al Rayyan will play their first leg of the round of 16 of the AFC Champions League Elite 2024/25 on Monday and Tuesday respectively. Al Sadd will play an away game against Al Wasl of the UAE on Monday, and Al Rayyan will host Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli on Tuesday. The two sides aspire to achieve a positive result that will facilitate their mission in the second leg on March 10 and 11 respectively.

According to Qatar News Agency, the two teams had reached the round of 16 after a strong performance in the West Section league stage. Four teams left the league stage, including Al Gharafa, the third representative of Qatari football, along with Persepolis of Iran, Al Shorta of Iraq, and Al Ain of the UAE.
