ACTA Chairman Engages in High-Level Anti-Corruption Meetings in Doha

Doha: HE Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) Hamad bin Nasser Al Misnad, who is also the president of the eleventh session of the Conference of the States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption (COSP11), conducted a series of strategic meetings with senior officials from anti-corruption bodies of various participating countries at COSP11, held in Doha from December 15 to 19.

According to Qatar News Agency, His Excellency met with a US delegation led by Deputy Assistant Secretary at the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Maggie Nardi. Other significant meetings included discussions with the Chairman of the Egyptian Money Laundering Unit, Counselor Ahmed Saeed Khalil, and the Commissioner of the Federal Commission of Integrity (FCoI) of Iraq, Mohammed Ali Al Lami.

In addition, HE Hamad bin Nasser Al Misnad engaged in dialogue with the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev, and a Kazakh delegation led by the deputy director of the Anti-Corruption Service of the National Security Committee, Daniyar Akzhanov. Further discussions involved a meeting with the chairperson of the Independent National Commission for Preventing and Combating Corruption (CNIPLC) from Djibouti, Badria Zakaria Cheikh.

Meetings were also held with delegations from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Burkina Faso. These discussions centered around enhancing mutual cooperation, addressing issues related to combating corruption, and promoting integrity and transparency within the international community.
