Doha: The Pakistani army announced Tuesday the killing of nine militants during two security operations in northwestern Pakistan.
According to Qatar News Agency, the army stated that security forces carried out the two operations based on intelligence information that monitored the movements of militants in the Dera Ismail Khan and Bannu districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has witnessed numerous security operations recently to track down militants who have targeted civilians and security forces.
