Erbil: The eighth edition of the Erbil International Theater Festival kicked off in Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, with the participation of Arab and foreign troupes.

According to Qatar News Agency, the festival will continue over six days, with two plays being performed daily, accompanied by critique sessions and other artistic activities.

Director of the Erbil Theater Arts Directorate Hiwa Suad said that the festival will feature theatrical troupes from Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Turkey, Iran, and Germany, in addition to local participation.
